Memory Items Flashcards
Airspeed Unreliable
- Autopilot (if engaged) - Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- F/D Switches (both) - Off
- If necessary to stabilize aircraft, set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
Flaps Extended: 10 deg / 80% N1
Flaps up: 4 deg / 75% N1
Max Crosswind Component
33 kts for takeoff and landing (including gusts)
Aborted Engine Start
- Engine Start Lever (affected engine) - Cutoff
Max Altitude with flaps extended
20,000 ft
Max Allowable wind speeds for HUD AIII ops
HW
XW
TW
HW - 25 kts,
XW - 15 kts,
TW - 10 kts
Landing Configuration
- Assure correct airplane landing configuration
APU altitude limits
In flight:
APU bleed and electrical load: 10,000 ft
APU bleed load: 17,000 ft
Max operating altitude
41,000 feet
Max takeoff and landing tailwind component
10 kts, or as permitted by company pages
Maximum Takeoff and Landing Altitude
8,400 feet pressure altitude
HUD AIII engine/flap limitations
Both engines operative: Flaps 30 or 40
One engine operative: Flaps 15
Cabin altitude warning or rapid depressurization
1.Don oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%
2.Establish crew communications
APU Fire
1.APU Fire Switch - Confirm. … Pull, rotate to the stop, and hold for 1 second
2.APU Switch - Off
For HUD AIII approach to a manual landing:
AIII Mode must be selected and the autopilot (A/P) and autothrottle (A/T) must be disengaged prior to 500 feet above TDZE.
Severe turbulent air penetration airspeed
280 KIAS / .76 Mach (whichever is lower)
Applicable to CLIMB AND DESCENT ONLY.
For cruise, refer to 5.16.11.1 Severe Turbulence.
Autopilot trim limitation
No aileron trim with autopilot engaged
Single channel autopilot approach
Not below 50 feet AGL
Autopilot takeoff limit
Do not engage below 400 feet agl
Max allowable wind speeds for autoland
HW
XW
TW
HW - 25 kts
XW - 20 kts
TW - 10 kts
Crosswind limit may be further limited by:
Low visibility Takeoffs,
Low visibility approaches,
Autolands,
Contamination,
Runway width
Engine Fire
or
Engine Severe Damage or Separation
- Autothrottles (if engaged) - Disengage
- Thrust Lever (affected engine) - Confirm - Close
Loss of thrust on both engines
- Engine Start Switches (both) - FLT
- Engine Start Levers (both) - CUTOFF
- When EGT decreases -
Engine Start Levers (both) - Idle detent
Engine Limit
or
Surge
or
Stall
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- Thrust Lever (affected engine) - Confirm -
Retard until indications stay within limits or the thrust Lever is closed
Runaway Stabilizer
- Control Column - Hold firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged) - Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- Control column and thrust levers - Control airplane pitch attitude and airspeed
- Main Electric Stabilizer trim - Reduce control column forces
- If the runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged:
Do NOT re-engage the autopilot or autothrottle.
- If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both)- CUTOUT
If the runaway continues:
Stabilizer trim wheel - Grasp and hold
For crosswind landings, refer to:
