IMMINENT OVERTEMPTERATURE OR HUNG START
1. Condition Lever - Fuel Off
2. Ignition (affected engine) - off

IF ITT does not decrease immediately:
1. Pull Fuel Off Handle - Pull

Motor Engine for 15 Seconds:
1. Start Select - Off

A

Affected Engine:

  1. Power Lever - Flight Idle
  2. Condition Lever - Fuel Off
  3. Alternate Feather (if req’d) - Feather
  4. Pull Fuel Off Handle - Pull
  5. Tank Aux Pump - Off

IF Fire:
1. Extg Switch (affected engine) - Fwd Btl

If fire persists, wait up to 30 seconds:
1. Extg switch (affected engine) - Aft Btl

If Fire
1. Extg switch (affected engine) - Fwd Btl

Wait up to 30 secs, IF fire persists:
Extg switch (affected engine) - Aft Btl

IF Evacuation:

  1. Emergency Lights - On
  2. Fasten Seatbelts - Off
  3. Evacuate - as req’d
  4. AC/DC Ext Pwr/APU - Off
  5. Battery Master - Off

Pitch Control Jam

  1. Autopilot - Disengage
  2. Flap and Airspeed - Maintain at time of jam
  3. Pitch Control - Both Pilots Attempt to Overcome Jam

If unable to overcome jam:

  1. Relax Control column force
  2. Pitch disc handle - pull and turn 90 degrees
  3. Control column - both pilots attempt pitch control

Propeller Overspeed

A

Above 400ft AGL:

  1. Synchrophase - Off
  2. Airspeed - reduce toward minimum speed appropriate to flap configuration and flight conditions

Affected Engine:

  1. Power Lever - Flight Idle
  2. Condition Lever - Start/Feather
  3. Alternate Feather (if req’d) - Fthr

If Propeller does not feather:

  • DO NOT SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE.
    1. Alternate Feather - Norm
    2. Condition Levers - Max
    3. Power Lever (affected engine) - Advance. Do not exceed 1212 RPM
    4. Power Lever (non affected engine) - as required to maintain desired flight profile.

*Land Immediately at nearest suitable airport.

IF Propeller Feathers:

  1. Condition Leaver (non-affected engine) - Max
  2. Power lever (non-affected engine) - as required
  3. Engine Fail/Fire/Shutdown - accomplish

Warning: should the rudder pedal (rudder jam) suddenly break free, do not apply rudder pedal input in the opposite direction.

  1. Affected rudder pedal - apply normal push force

Rudder pedal moves as required:
1. Affected rudder pedal - reduce push force and allow rudder to center

END

Rudder pedal does not respond to normal push force (rudder remains jammed or rudder jam reoccurs):

  • use roll control as required for directional control
    1. Airspeed - 1.3 Vs (min)
