Thrust lever (affected) — Confirm — Close
Eng start Lvr (affected)— Confirm — Cutoff
Engine fire switch (affected)
— confirm — pull
If engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated
Engine fire switch (affected)
— rotate to stop hold for 1 sec
Engine Overheat
Autothrottle — disengage
Thrust lever (affected) — Confirm — Close
If ENG OVERHEAT light still illuminated
Go to ENGINE FIRE or Engine severe damage or Separation Checklist
Smoke or fire from Lithium Battery
If necessary transfer controls
PA - “BACKUP TO THE FLIGHTDECK BACKUP TO THE FLUGHTDECK”

Oxygen mask — ON 100%
Crew communication — Established
Runaway Stabilizer
Control column — hold firmly
Autopilot / Autothrottle — disengage
Control airplane pitch and airspeed
Main electric stabilizer trim - reduce force
If runaway stops do not re-engagge
autopilot
If runaway continues
Stab Trim Cutout (both) — Cutout
If runaway continues
Stabilizer trim wheel - grasp and hold
Airspeed Unreliable
Autopilot / auto throttle - disengage
F/D switches (both) — OFF
Pitch attitude and thrust
Flaps extended — 10* 80%N1
Flaps up. — 4*. 75%N1
Landing configuration
Assure correct airplane landing configuration
Takeoff Configuration
Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
Warning Horn (Intermittent)
Or
Warning light CABIN ALTITUDE

Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
Oceanic diversion
Initiate application drills and time critical checklists
Declare and Emergency
If clearance obtained- proceed per
clearance
If clearance unavailable - turn 30deg L/R
Offset 5NM — when established +- 500ft
or drift down to 290 (engine inop)
Turn all lights ON
Declare emergency / intentions on 121.5 & 123.45
Send CPDLC emergency message
Cabin Altitude Warning
Or
Rapid Depressurization
Don oxygen 100%
Establish crew communication
Fasten seatbelt— ON
PA — “Attention flight attendants secure the cabin passengers take your seat”
Pressurization mode selector — Manual
Outflow valve — hold to close fully
If cabin is uncontrollable
PASS OXYGEN Switch — ON
Go to EMERGENCY DESCENT
