  2. PITCH …PULL UP
  3. THRST LEVERS … TOGA
  4. SPEED BRAKE LEVERS….VERIFY RETRACTED
  5. BANK….LEVEL WINGS OR ADJUST

!! DO NOT CHANGE THE CONFIGURATION (SLATS/FLAPS/GEAR) OF A/C UNTIL CLR OF OBSTACLE !!

  1. CREW OXY MASK… USE
  2. SIGNS ….ON
  3. Emergency Descent…INITIATE
    - descend to MEA

–> If A/THR Not Active -
4. THRUST LEVERS…IDLE
5. SPEED BREAKS ….FULL

TCAS WARNING (RA)

RA - Resolution Advisory

“CLIMB” / “DESCEND” / “LEVEL OFF”

A

“TCAS I HAVE CONTROL”

–> All RA, except any CLIMB RA during approach in CONF 3 or FULL:
1. AP… OFF
2. BOTH FDs ….OFF
- WHY? TO GO TO SPEED MODE
3. VERTICAL SPEED…ADJUST OR MAINTAIN

–> Any CLIMB RA during approach in CONF 3 or FULL:
1. GO-AROUND…PERFORM
2. VERTICAL SPEED…MONITOR
3. ATC…NOTIFY “ATC RA”

–> When the “CLR OF CONFLICT” aural alert sounds:
1. ATC….NOTIFY “ATC, CLR of Conflict, returning to FL…”
2. LATERAL AND VERTICAL GUIDANCE…ADJUST
3. AP/FD….AS RQRD

Loss of Braking

A

when A/SKID & N/W STRG sw goes to OFF the braking system is transferred from the BSCU to the ABCU. PF should release brakes before switch goes to OFF to avoid brutal braking action

“LOSS OF BRAKING”

  1. REV……MAX
  2. BRAKE PEDALS - RELEASE#
  3. A/SKID OFF…..PF orders PM to set OFF
  4. A/SKID & N/W STRG…..OFF
  5. BRAKE PEDALS …..PRESS
  6. MAX BRK PR…..1,000 PSI

–> If still no braking:
7. PARK BRAKE …..USE
(Use short successive parking brake applications to stop the aircraft)

Unreliable Speed Indication/ADR Check Procedure

A

“UNRELIABLE SPEED”

If the safe conduct of the flight is impacted:
1. AP …..OFF
2. A/THR ….OFF
3. FDs ….OFF

  1. PITCH/THRUST:
    * Below THRUST RED ALT….15/TOGA
    * Above THRUST RED ALT and and Below FL100…. 10/CLB
    * Above THRUST RED ALT and Above FL100 ….5/CLB
  2. FLAPS (if CONF 0,1,2,3)…… MAINTAIN CURRENT CONF
  3. FLAPS (if CONF FULL) …..SELECT CONF 3 AND MAINTAIN
  4. SPEEDBRAKES…..CHECK RETRACTED
  5. L/G…..UP

Note: When at or above MSA or circuit altitude, level off for troubleshooting.
