ENGINE OVERSPEED SHUTDOWN memory information
There is only one ENG OVSPD caption. The caption illuminates if any engine has shutdown because an overspeed has been detected.
Using the engine indicators, positively confirm which engine has shutdown.
EXCESSIVE ENGINE VIBRATION memory information
Exceedance of ____ units?
The is only one ENG VIBN caption.
It illuminates if the vibration on any engine exceeds 1.2 units.
Using the vibration level indicators, positively confirm which engine is affected.
Prolonged operation in icing conditions can result in ice accretion on the fan and engine vibrations. Crews should be aware that high engine vibrations may be caused by ice on the blades, especially if more than one engine is affected.
