GPWS

A

“PULL UP TOGA”
- GPWS must be ON form T/O until L/D except specified by approved procedures
- L/G not down at 750’ / Too Low Gear at 500’ / Too Low Flap at 250’
- “Glide Slope” 1.3dot below G/S
- GPWS TERR pb-sw can be off when aircraft position <15nm from airfield
For runway not incorporated in database / Specific approach
- “Avoid Terrain” ร้องหลัง “Pull Up” -> lateral maneuver required
BASIC MODE
- MODE 1 EXCESSIVE DESCENT Rate -> “Sink Rate” “Pull Up”
- MODE 2 EXCESSIVE TERRAIN Closure Rate -> “Terrain” “Pull Up”
- MODE 3 ALTITUDE LOSS after T/O , GA -> “Dont Sink”
- MODE 4 TERRAIN not sufficient if not in landing CONF -> “TOO LOW”
- MODE 5 EXCESSIVE Descent below G/S -> “GLIDESLOPE”

- ECAM PRESS page confirm CAB ALT
- Mask ON & SIGN ON first
- Turn Pull Turn Pull Pull / FMA / SPD BRK
- 7000ft/min , FL390 -> FL100 , 4min , 40nm
- To save O2 set oxygen diluter to N position

MSA Trouble shooting
- Memory item -> Fly -> Troubleshooting -> BUSS if not isolate faulty ADR
- < FL250 off all ADRs to fly BUSS (Back Up Speed Scale)
- Rely on Stall Warning because Stall Warning is base AOA

A

- TAU TA 40sec , RA 25sec
- Range 2700’-9900’ / 30-80nm
- any Climb RA during Approach in CONF3/FULL -> Go Around
- “THAI ASIA 1 TCAS RA”
- “Unable to comply TCAS resolution advisory”
- “THAI ASIA 1 returning to FLXXX”
- Whenever an aircraft has departed from ATC clearance to comply RA , ASR must be filed
TCAS TA shall be manual selected when
- Engine fail
- Gear down
- known nearby traffic in visual contact
- specific airport operation
TCAS TA automatic selected when
- <1000’ AGL
- Wind shear / Stall / GPWS

Windshear

A

“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
- pitch 17.5degree
- Recommend Flap 3 landing for go around climb gradient
- Sign of Windshear -> indicated speed vary > 15kt
Predictive Windshear
- Weather Radar
- Predictive Windshear Caution -> Monitor Radar Display (can disregard at T/O)
- on L/D can disregard alert -> no sign of Windshear / Reactive windshear is operational
- only <2300’ AGL
- T/O inhibit >100kt & up to 50’
Reactive Windshear
- Low Energy Warning
- at T/O 3sec after liftoff to 1300’
- at L/D 1300’ to 50’RA
- at least CONF1
