Q

What are the two ways we can retrieve memory?
+ what is both of it?

A
  1. recall = when you remember something without having to be reminded for e.g your friends’ birthday
  2. recognition= when you remember memory when your shown it again or it feels familiar to you

Q

What evidence can we use to support sensory register?

A

Sperling method
1. he conducted a lab experiment to investigate capacity of sensory register

  1. he showed participants 4 by 3 grid with letters for 50 milliseconds
  2. he had two different groups and tested their recall. one of groups had to recall amount letter they can remember. the other group had recall one of the rows but they told which row to recall by tone in the background.
