MEM Flashcards
TCAS WARNING
ONLY RA:
- “TCAS I have control”
- AP disengage
- Both FDs OFF
- respect stall, GPWS, or windshear
- Notify ATC “123 Tcas RA”-“ 123 clear of conflict, returning FL … ”
RA are inhibited below 900ft
WINDSHEAR WARNING
If before V1:
- Reject the take off
If after V1:
- “WINDSHEAR TOGA”
- THR levers TOGA
- Reaching Vr rotate
- SRS commands follow (or 17.5)
When Airborne (t/o or lndg)
-“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
- THR levers at TOGA set or confirm
- AP keep on
- SRS follow
DO NOT CHANGE AC CONFIG UNTIL OUT OF WINDSHEAR
STALL
PF:
- “STALL I HAVE CONTROL” apply nose down pitch
- Roll wings level
When out of stall:
-Increase thrust as rqrd
-check speed brakes retracted
-recover desired path
PM:
Monitors
If clean configuration below 20,000 feet:
PF: “FLAPS 1”
PM: selects flaps 1, calls airspeed, sink rate and altitude.
Control of flight path, ground contact no factor:
PF: “GO AROUND FLAPS “
PM: selects flaps one step up, when appropriate “POSITIVE RATE”
PF: “GEAR UP” sets climb thrust engage A/THR
PM: selects gear up
PF: calls Flaps retraction on sched
PM: selects flaps, ensure speed brakes off
STALL AT LIFT OFF
PF: “STALL TOGA 15” and pitch attitude 15 nose up, wings level
PM: calls airspeed /sink rate/altitude
EGWS CAUTIONS
“DONT SINK”
Adjust FLT path
“TERRAIN TERRAIN”
Night or IMC= Perform EGWP WARN
Day and VMC = adjust FLT path
“GLIDE SLOPE”
Above 500ft: adjust FLT path
Below 500ft: GO AROUND
“SINK RATE”
Above 500ft= adjust FLT path
Below 500ft= GO AROUND
“TOO LOW GEAR-TOO LOW FLAPS”
Perform GO AROUND
EGPWS WARNINGS
“PULL UP”-“TERRAIN AHEAD PULL UP”
“TERRAIN TERRAIN “ - “TOO LOW TERR”
In addition:
“OBSTACLE AHEAD PULL UP”
PF:
-“PULL UP TOGA”
-AP off
-Pitch pull up (full back stick and maintain) (respect stall warn if no normal law)
-Thrust levers TOGA
-Speed brakes check retracted
- wings level
PM:
- Maintain config, monitor actions and call out: airspeed/sink rate/ altitude
When aural alert ceases and ground contact no longer a factor:
PF:
-Cancel TOGA LK, reduce pitch towards level flight, accelerate, restore AP FD
PM:
-ATC notify
PF:
- “GO AROUND FLAPS” perform GO AROUND
PM:
- performs go around procedure
ENGINE FAIL DURING CRUISE
PF:
M select MCT
A A/THR OFF
G select greed dot speed pull
H heading or consider offset
P prog ALT select FL220 alt pull
I inform ATC
E ecam actions
PM:
- complete ecam action, monitor PF, refer to QRH, WAT, ACPT.
PF Strategies :
STANDARD M0.82/300kts, alt for LRC, sets LRC cruise speed from QRH when level
FIXED SPEED M082/300kts, alt to 17000ft, adjust alt to maintain 330kts
OBSTACLE Green Dot speed, level off at EO drift down alt ( PERF or QRH). When clear adopt above strategies

OCEANIC DIVERSION
-Initiate applicable MEM, ECAM and time critical checklists.
-IF UNABLE TO OBTAIN CLEARANCE:
Turn at least and offset as follows
- OCA 30 R or L / 5NM offset - China 30 Right / 5NM offset - Russia 30 Right / 16.2 Nm offset
If EO: minimize descent until established offset, then descend to below FL290 and maintain 500ft vertical offset.
If all engines ok: when established offset, climb or descend 500ft.
-Declare emergency and requests clearance.
-Exterior lights on
-Declare on 121.5, position on 123.45
-Select emerg prompt on CPDLC

FOM 12.5.8
No response to 2 comm or one major deviation.
Assume control, autopilot on, ask Fa or jump to assist. When at safe altitude and configuration secure incapacitated crew. If on continuous oxy land n suitable
