MEL Flashcards
The MEL contains
Items required by operating regulations or items of airworthiness significance.
All items that are obviously related to the airworthiness of the aircraft (wings / engines / rudder etc)
Are not included in the list but are automatically required to be operative
MEL is controlling until?
The aircraft is moving under its own power
Multiple MEL items
The MEL does not take into account multiple unserviceabilities
Category A interval
Starts at 00:01 on the calendar day until the specified number of hours or flight cycles
Category B
Items shall be rectified within 3 consecutive calendar days excluding the day of discovery
Category C
10 days excluding the day of discovery
Category D
120 days excluding the day of discovery
