Painting

Pigments are mixed with linseed oil and applied in canvas. It is slow to dry and the painting may be changed.

The favorite medium used by todays painters. It has the transparency and quick drying characteristic of watercolor and the flexibility of oil combined.

The most fundamental of all skills needed in arts.

The most common medium in drawing.

Oldest medium still used today.

A gray-brown pigment extracted from the soot of wood.
