Expect a rich, perfumed aroma with notes of tangerine, peach, and honeysuckle, possibly with subtle vanilla or floral notes if oak aging was involved. The wine offers a full-bodied, viscous texture on the palate with flavors of apricot, peach, and sometimes hints of spice or a subtle bitterness like a rose petal.

Winemakers Blend
2021 William Chris Vineyards “Mary Ruth”

A

$12/42
Aggie Wine, Texas High Plains
This
year’s rendition brings back familiar Texas varieties such as the
floral Muscat Blanc and the East Texas champion, Blanc du Bois,
coming together to create the intense tropical-floral aromas with a
dry, citrus palate that we’ve come to treasure. To coax complexity
and boost body, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes in this blend were
used to develop their nutty, honeyed characters, whilst the Muscat
Blanc and Malvasia Bianca grapes were fermented altogether
to share their wide array of lemon, jasmine, and stoney aromas.
Blanc du Bois rounds out this refreshing sipper with its unique
scents of grass and lime zest.
