The winemaking style is called “saignee” (sonyay), which means, to bleed. Grapes are harvested for red wine and some of the juice is bled off and made into a rosé wine. Grapes harvested for red wine are usually bolder in flavor and have lower acid levels. This results in a softer, rounder, more full-bodied wine than a traditional rosé wine. 82 cases produced.
