-english flanks protected by woodland and was placed at a narrow point which would funnel the French
-longbows fired into the side of french cavalry
-french infantry had to stumble across a muddy field of dead bodies
-english knights fought on foot with infantry and archers joined them with daggers, creating a strong centre
-english advanced and forced the french to retreat
