How would a doctor have treated a patient whose humours were out of balance?
They would be treated with the opposite to rebalance the humours-for example if they have a cold, they would be treated with something hot. If they had too much blood, then they would be bled.
What is a barber surgeon?
A barber who was also a surgeon, carried out surgery such as blood letting to amputations

To show God that they had repented their sins. They were punishing themselves so that God didn’t punish them with the Black Death

Arab doctor whose wrote a medical encyclopaedia called The Canon, this was used by doctors until the 1600s
