Can exacerbate COPD / Asthma if its not cardioselective (e.g. Beta 1 OR Beta 1,2,3)

Decreases HR and BP –> therefore Increasing Diastolic time
Causes a plateu in HR - doesnt spike much above 110bpm

SABA (Short Acting Beta2 Agonist)

  • Dizziness
  • Chest pain
  • Cough
  • Overuse of ventolin in a short period can have impacts on the heart due to it being a beta 2 agonist and there is beta 2 receptors on the heart –> can cause increase HR
