Prilosec (Generic: Omeprazole)
Drug class: PPI (Proton pump inhibitor) and Gastric acid secretion reducer.
- Used to treat: GERD, Gastric ulcers, and Erosive esophagitis.
Eliquis (Generic: Apixaban)
Drug Class: Direct factor Xa inhibitor.
Anticoagulant used to prevent blood clots from forming due to A-fib. Also, common post-op for knee/hip replacements.
Toprol XL (Generic: Metoprolol)
Drug class: Beta blocker.
- Used to treat angina due to CAD, heart failure, and HTN.
Tambocor (Generic: Flecainide)
Drug class: Antiarrhythmic (lc)
- Used to treat irregular heart rhythms/rates such as VT, SVT, and A-fib.
Norvasc (Generic: Amlodipine)
Drug class: Calcium Channel Blocker
- Common medication for HTN or for angina due to CAD.
