ACEIs and anti-coagulation (except aspirin)

The day before to allow time for interventions
How low does the INR need to be to proceed with the operation without vitamin K?
<1.5 (there are some exceptions like endoscopy/colonoscopy, dental work etc)
Will vitamin K reverse coagulopathy in an emergency setting
No - you need FFP
How long should clopidogrel be stopped before surgery?
7 days
How do you convert oral morphine to IV
Iv dose is half the oral dose
How do you convert oral morphine to oxycodone?
Oral oxycodone dose is half the oral morphine dose
What is the antidote to paracetamol?
Parvolex (acetylcysteine)
What is the antidote to propanalol?
Glucagon
What is the antidote to amitriptyline?
Bicarbonate
What is the antidote to lignocaine?
Intralipid
What is the antidote to opiates?
Naloxone 400mcg IV
What is the antidote to ethylene glycol (antifreeze)?
