- Right patient, med, dose, time, route
- Med clarity
- Expiration
- Assemble syringe and needle
- Draw up correct amount of med and dispel air, stay sterile
- Reconfirm med
- PPE
- ID and cleanse injection site
- Stretch or pinch skin, needle at proper angle
- Drawback to check for blood
- Push correct dose at correct rate
- Remove needle, dispose properly
- Direct pressure
- Cover site
- Observe pt for desired effect
