Elderly more susceptible to cognitive changes
Monitor AE - constipation, tolerance and dependence
Corticosteroids

High doses - relief during exacerbation
Low doses - delay progression of disease
Acetaminophen, NSAIDs and Opioid -pain control and ASA should be avoided in sever burns due to bleeding
Oral antihistamines -relief of severe itching during healing process
Monitor for improvement of condition
