Pertaining to; one afflicted with. Example: cardiac.
-ac
Pertaining to. Example: abdominal – pertaining to the abdomen.
-al
Pain. Example myalgia – pain in the muscles.
-algia
Weakness. Example: myasthenia gravis – skeletal muscle weakness.
-asthenia
Indicates a process of viewing Example: fixation – a process of fixing broken bone, surgically with wires, screws, hardware, etc..
-ation
Poutine, hernia. Example: hydrocele – accumulation of fluid in a body cavity.
-cele
Surgical puncture for aspiration. Example: amniocentesis – medical procedure using a needle to aspire fluid from the amniotic sac for prenatal diagnosis.

Break. Example: Osteoclast - A type of bone cell that breaks down bone tissue.

To secrete. Example: Endocrine - “Messenger System” that secrete hormones.

Binding. Example: Arthrodesis - Artificial binding of two bones surgically.
