How do you asses responsiveness?
Identify yourself
Ask casualty for their name and what has happened

Ask if they have any difficulties breathing
Asses their respiratorey rate
Look for uneven movement in thr chest or obvious injury
Listen for signs of breathing difficulty such as wheeze
What is a normal respiratpry rate?
12-20 bpm
How long do you have to asses whether a casualty is breathing?
10 seconds
