SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of a Asthma Attack
TREATMENT of a Asthma Attack
SIGNS: breathless, wheezing, restlessness
SYMPTOMS: Difficulty in breathing, sensation of suffocating or drowning
TREATMENT: Inhaler, give oxygen, call 999
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of VASOVAGAL SYNCOPE (faint)
TREATMENT
SIGNS: pale clammy skin, weak THREADY pulse/ loss of consciousness
SYMPTOMS: Dizziness, tunnel vision, nausea
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of ANAPHYLAXIS
TREATMENT
SIGNS: Rapid facial rash, gasping, collapsing
SYMPTOMS: On set breathing
TREATMENT: INTRAMUSCULAR adrenaline
maintain airway, OXYGEN, perform BLS
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of EPILEPTIC FIT
TREATMENT
SIGNS: Sudden loss of consciousness followed by a tonic clonic seizure
SYMPTOMS: Altered mood (aura) before fit begins can seem dazed, disorientated and sleepy.
TREATMENT: monitor after 5 minutes if fit continues call 999, trained rescuer will administrate MIDAZOLAM BUCCAL GEL (ORAL)

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of ANGINA
TREATMENT
SIGNS: Congested facial appearance
SYMPTOMS: Crushing chest pain that may travel into LEFT arm, JAW, nausea and breathlessness
TREATMENT: GTN spray under tongue, oxygen
Angina is caused by reduced blood flow to the heart
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of hypo and diabetic coma
TREATMENT
SIGNS: trembling, cold and clammy skin, irritable to the point of being aggressive, drowsy, slurred speech, may appear to be drunk?
SYMPTOMS: confusion, disorientated, blurred or double vision
TREATMENT: IF conscious give GLUGOGEL TUBE orally
IF Unconscious trained rescuer to administrate intramuscular glucogen
maintain airway, call 999
SIGNS & SYMPTOM of a STROKE (CVA)
SIGNS: sudden weakness of the face or limbs on one side of the body, sudden difficulty in speaking ,sudden loss of balance or fall.
SYMPTOMS: Sudden numbness of face or limbs, sudden headache or visual disturbance sudden confusion, sudden dizziness
TREATMENT: F/A/S/T
What does FAST stand for?
F: Facial weakness any signs of eye or mouth dropping
A: Arm weakness can they raise both arms/legs?
S: Speech problems CAN they speak clearly
T: Test all 3 signs quickly
