TREATMENT

A

SIGNS: Sudden loss of consciousness followed by a tonic clonic seizure
SYMPTOMS: Altered mood (aura) before fit begins can seem dazed, disorientated and sleepy.
TREATMENT: monitor after 5 minutes if fit continues call 999, trained rescuer will administrate MIDAZOLAM BUCCAL GEL (ORAL)
PETIT MAL- mild
GRAND MAL- major

SIGNS: Congested facial appearance
SYMPTOMS: Crushing chest pain that may travel into LEFT arm, JAW, nausea and breathlessness
TREATMENT: GTN spray under tongue, oxygen
Angina is caused by reduced blood flow to the heart

IF Unconscious trained rescuer to administrate intramuscular glucogen
maintain airway, call 999
