  • Undifferentiated N+V
  • C/I to Prochlorperazine
  • Vestibular nausea <21years
  • Prophylaxis for spinal pt, eye trauma

Prochlorperazine administered for:

  • Vestibular nausea >21years
  • C/I to ondasertron and >21years

Anaphylaxis S/S

A

R - respiratory distress, SOB, wheeze, cough, stridor
A - pain, cramping, N/V/D (particularly common in insect bites and systemically administered allergens (IV)).
S - hives, wells, itching, angioedema (lips, tongue)
H - hypotension SBP <90

Meningococcal Septicaemia S/S

A
  • Purpuric rash

Septicaemia signs

  • Fever, rigours, joint and muscle pain
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Tachycardia and hypotension
  • Tachypnoea

Meningeal signs

  • Headache, photophobia, neck stiffness
  • N+V
  • Altered conscious state
