  • We used be surrounded by reality in the media, whereas now it is very artificial (heightened version of reality)
  • Simulacra - copy of reality (sometimes young people view this as reality)
  • Simulacrum - copy with very little link to reality
  • Artificial copies can be hard to tell apart - often enjoyed more
  • Hyper reality - cannot tell difference
  • Product can may message about simulacra or be simulacra
  • People often enjoy simulacra (glossy, perfect, aspirational)
