Aperture
The opening of a lenses diaphragm through which light passes
Depth of field
The distance between the nearist and fuarthist elements in a scene that appear to be in focus.
Focal Length
Tells us how much of a scene will be captured and how large the individual elements will be.
F-stop
The focal length of a lens.
ISO
A camera’s sensitivity to light.
Shutter Speed
The speed at which the shutter of a camera closes.
Telephoto Photography
A type of photography that brings distant objects closer with the use of long focal lengths.
Wide-angle Photography
Atype of photography that al lows for a wider field of view.
Zoom Lens
A manually adjusted lens that creates focused images from very close-up to very far away.
The Rule of Thirds
is an effective way to frame the elements in your scene so that the resulting image is much more visually captivating.
