What is the Procedure of this Practical?

Answer 1

Place 20cm³ of 2dm³ of ethanoic acid in a boiling tube
Set the apparatus as shown in the diagram
Place 0.05g of CaCO3 in a test tube
Weigh accurately
Remove the bung from boiling tube,add calcium carbonate and close boiling tube as quickly as possible
Once the reaction is over measure volume of gas collected in the gas syringe
Record mass and volume
Repeat experiment six times increasing mass of CaCO3 by 0.05g
