What is mandated reporting?
Any public or private official having reasonable cause to believe any child they come into contact with has suffered abuse or a person abused a child shall report

What is the criteria to issue an amber alert?
1) confirmation that an abduction occurred
2) child is 17 years or younger
3) in danger of serious bodily harm or death
4) there is adequate descriptive information available to believe that it’s dissemination to the public could help locate the child/suspect/vehicle
5) not to be used for runaways or parental abduction- unless in danger of death
When should a child be entered into NCIC?
