What are some reasons as to why there are missing bands on agarose gel electrophoresis?

Answer 1

• The sample wasn’t pipetted in properly
• There was not enough DNA in the sample
• The DNA was not amplified enough (we would se a very thin faint band)
• One component of the PCR could be missing (if missing template, or buffer, or polymerase, then PCR wont work)
