Q
For an ideal solution, what would you expect the vapor pressure to be and why? (for a combo of a solute and a solvent)
A
In an ideal solution the vapor pressure will be somewhere in between the vapor pressures of the solute and solvent, depending on their relative mole fractions
2
Q
If a salt completely dissociates in water and is instead placed in a solution of various charged ions, which would you expect to precipitate first (the ions with the largest or smallest Ksp)?
A
Smallest Ksp will be the first to precipitate because it is the least soluble therefore there is a smaller proportion of products formed compared to reactants
