What is “mourning” and why is it vital in salvation based on 2 Corinthians 7:9,10
Mourning is a state of complete sorrow, heart piercing pain in the acutest kind. The mourning described here is a type of mourning that was caused by realization of sinfulness, that led to repentance. It is Godly sorrow that leads to repentance, which leads to salvation and leaves no regret, the opposite of worldly sorrow that only brings death.
