A
Solids keep their shape because particles that make them are packed closely together. Cannot be squeezed into smaller shapes.

A
Liquids flow and take shape of their container. They take up fixed amount of space in their container. Particles always move around this is why liquids flow.

Gases flow & take shape in their container. Fill up whole space in the container.
Gas particles are far apart & able to move freely wherever they want.
Gas particles can be squeezed together.
