Maths- Things to Remember Flashcards
RTQ
Read the Questions carefully so you answer what is actually asked.
It is a very good idea to underline/highlight important words in the question as you read them.
Example: Work out the area of the triangle in the diagram.
Don’t spend too long on one question
there may be easier ones later on that you can do.
You will be expected to show some method for most of your answers so don’t just write down an answer
This is even more important when you are allowed to use a calculator - Show HOW you did it!
Don’t forget to write your final answers in the answer spaces provided.
.
Give the units for your answer
This means you need to say cm or km or £ or cm2 etc.
If you have time at the end then check all your answers to avoid those silly mistakes!!
Do NOT just sit there looking around at everyone else - There are no prizes for finishing first!
The main thing is: Do Not Worry - Just try to do your best!
