A
The position or place of a digit in a number.
eg: In the number 627, the 6 is 600 (hundreds), the 2 is 20 (tens) and the 7 is 7 (units, or ones in other words).

eg: 2865,the 8 is a hundred, the 2 is a thousand, the 5 is a unit.

A
Transforming a number above 4 into the next highest ten, and a number below 5 into the next lower ten. eg: 64-60 58-60 60-60 35-40
