Verbs
A verb is a doing word eg: I RUN to the backyard.
Mary is SWIMMING in her swimming pool.
Tenses, Contractions
Tenses=
past-tense words, present tense and future tense eg:
Contractions=
we will = we’ll he will = he’ll can not = can’t will not = won’t
Alphabetical Order
To put a words in order from a-z. If the letter in the beginning of the word starts with a it most likely to be the first word.
Direct Speech
When the person is talking in a sentence or story or paragraph.
Figures of Speech - Alliterations and Similes
Alliteration are sentences that all mostly have the same letters.
eg: Sammy the snake slithered slowly to the sea.
Similes= comparing two things eg: mom is like an angel. But she’s not actually an angel yet.
Adjectives
A word that describes a noun. eg: You look pretty today.
I like your shiny bow in your hair.
