Function
Some relations are also functions. A relation is a function if each input X value has exactly one output y value that it goes with.
Product of powers property
When multiplying powers with the same base keep the base but add the exponents
Quotient of powers property
When dividing powers with the same base keep the base but subtract the exponents
Negative exponent property
A negative exponent means the power is written in the wrong location (in the numerator or denominator) Rewrite it in the opposite position with a positive exponent never leave negative exponents in your final answer except for scientific notation
Zero exponent property
Anything to the zero power equals one except zero to the zero power is undefined
Power of a power property
When raising a quantity to a certain power multiply all the exponents inside the parentheses by the exponent that’s outside the parentheses
Power of a product property
This property states that the power of a product can be obtained by finding the powers of each factor and multiplying them.
