  • the product of two or more odd numbers is always odd
  • the sum of two or more even numbers is always even
  • the sum of two odd numbers of always even

Q

Factors and multiples

A
The numbers multiplied to produce the product. Best way to find all factors is to start at one and pair them up. Take 120:
1 and 120
2 and 60
3 and 40
4 and 30
5 and 24
6 and 20
8 and 15
10 and 12
When the factors can't get any closer you're done. Every number has a finite number of factors

The decomposition of a composite number into smaller non-trivial divisors that when multiplied together equal the original integer.
Eg. 120 breaks down into 2x2x2x3x5,
