Q

1 foot > m

A

0.3048 m
(1 in = 2.54 cm, 1 foot = 12 in, 100 cm = 1m,
2.54 * 12 / 100 = 0.3048)

Q

fluid oz, cup, pint, quart, gallon

A

8 fl. oz = 1 c, 2 c = 1 pt,
2 pt = 1 qt, 4 qt = 1 gal
(must be ‘fl. oz’ to not confuse with ‘oz’ of weight)

Q

general idea

A

memorized relations:
in > cm, fl.oz > mL, oz > g, acre > hactare
if give yard n ask meter,

recall these:
in to yard & cm to m, bcuz u only know in > cm.
12 in = 1 ft, 3 ft = 1 yd so … 36 in = 1 yd
100 cm = 1 m

now calculation:
in (given) * 36 / 100 = Result meter
- 36 is 12in and 3ft to make yd
- 100 is 100cm to make 1m

there is nothing below in, fl.oz or oz; u won’t need going down formula.
