MR Prerequisite - Storage and Collection of recyclables
Project must provide dedicated recyclable material collection and storage for mixed paper, corrugated cardboard, glass, plastic and metals
In addition safe collection and disposal of two of the following batteries, mercury contain lamps, electronic waste
MR Prerequisite - Construction and Demolition Waste Management Planning
Contractor must implement CWM plan
including recylcing center locations and whether materials are separated or comingled
Must included diversion goals for at least 5 materials
Hazardous waste and land clearing debris does not count.
ACD doesnt count for diversion but does for total

Option 1 - Diversion
Musts choose between following
Path 1 - Divert 50% and 3 material streams (1pt)
Path 2 - Divert 75% and 4 material streams (2pt)
Option 2 - Reduction of Total Waste Material
amount of waste cannot exceed 2.5 lb/ft2
MR Prerequisite - PBT Source Reduction - Mercury (Healthcare only)
Team must identify types of mercery containin products and devices
how they will be recyled
and identify disposal method for captured mercury
MR Credit - PBT Source Reduction - Lead, Cadium, and Copper (Healthcare Only)

Water for human consumption solder and flux that meets California AB1953
-Cadium
no use of interior or exterior paints containing cadium
-copper
joints must be mechanically cripped or specify that all solder joints comply with ASTM B828-2002 and ASTM B813-2010
MR Credit - Building Life Cycle Impact Reduction
-Option 1 - Historic Building Reuse (5 points)
Project must reuse part of historic building registered local, state, or nationally, no minimum. Cant be demolitioned. Additions and alteration must be local review or by preservation professional
-Option 2 - Renovation of Abandoned or Blighted Building (5 points)
At least 50% of building must be maintained by surface area
Areas that are unsafe or unsound can be demolished.
25% of buildings surface area can be excluded
-Option 3 - Building and Material Reuse (2-4pts)
utilize onsite or offsite reused or salvaged building materials. (includes permanently installed materials, structural elements, enclosure materials. Windows and hazardous materials are excluded)
25% = 2pts BD+C 2pts CS
50% = 3pts BD+C 3pts CS
75% = 4ts BD+C 5pts CS
-Option 4 - Whole building Life Cycle Assessment
cradle to grave LCA for project structure and enclosure must show min 10% reduction in at least 3 of 6 categories
1. Global Warning Potential
2. Depletion of the Stratospheric ozone Layer
3. Acidifiction of land and water sources
4. eutrophication
5. formation of tropospheric ozone
6. depletion of nonrenewable energy resources
Healthcare only materials demolished to create courtyards to increase daylighting maybe retained in calculations
MR Credit - Building Product Disclosure and Optimization - Environmental Product Declarations
Team can do 1 or both for a max 2 pts
-Option 1 - Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
at least 20 different permanently installed from at least 5 different manufacturers. must be one of 4 types
Product Specific, Industry wide, Product specific type 3 or a USGBC approved program.
-Option 2 - Multi-attribute Optimization
50% (by cost) of permanently installed comply with one of the following
*3rd party certified to impact reduction in at least 3 categories (valued at least 100%)
Global warming
depletion of stratospheric ozone
acidification of land and water sources
eutrophication
formation of tropospheric ozone
depletion of nonrenewable energy resources

-Identify Horizontal expansion - capacity for at least 30% of diagnostic and clinical space without demolition of occupied spaces
-Design for Vertical Expansion - could use 75% of roof and ensure operation and service systems continue
-Designate space for future parking structures - 50% of exisitng on grade parking capacity
-Use Demountable Partitions - 50% of applicable areas
