1
Q
What is hookes law ?
A
Hookes law states that the strain in a solid is proportional to the stress applied, until the elastic limit is reached.
2
Q
What is the elastic limit ?
A
When hookes law no longer applies, and the material can no longer go back to its original shape/length.
3
Q
How can you tell an object has reached its elastic limit by looking at a graph?
A
What the gradient is no longer straight.
