Virginia Company’s Charter is revoked
in 1624 by James I
It is now a royal colony
Sends a message to Powhatan: Not messing with investors anymore and if the colony is attacked, it is an attack on England
Puritan Values:
Wanted to make Church system simple
No Popes, Bishops, Cardinals, Priests, Deacons, or Saints
and simplify the Church service:
No statues, Paintings, Stained glass, or Marbled Alters

Natural Liberty is the problem
