Q

What value does gravity have on earth?

A

10N/kg or 10m/s(2)

If your mass is 75kg, your weight will be 750N
If your weight is 1300N, your mass will be 130kg
If your mass is 120g, your weight will be 1.2N

What is density?

A

Density tells us the MASS of 1cm(3) or 1m(3) of a material.
Measured in g/cm(3) or kg/m(3)

Q

What do you need to find the density of an object?

How would you do this?

A

You need to find it’s mass and Volume.

Find the mass using a top pan balance
Find the volume by multiplying LxBxH
(For irregular shapes, lower the object into a cylinder with a measured amount of water in it and take away the new volume of water from the old)
