1560: King Francis died, and mary returned to Scotland
1565: Mary married Lord Darnley. Abusive relationship. Mary deeply unhappy
1566:Mary’s secretary David Rizzio killed, Mary’s son born
1567: Lord Darnley murdered, and mary marries the suspect of his murder
1568:Scots threaten to arrest Mary. she flees to England.

Elizabeth supported Mary when she was threatened by scottish nobles but did not want Mary in England. She was a dangerous threat. They both exchanges letters but never met.
