- First Statute of Repeal - reversed Edward’s legislation + returned England to the final years of Henry’s reign
- Second Statute of Repeal - Latin Mass + clerical celibacy restored + papal headship restored (with help of Cardinal Pole)

A
- Failed to restore monasteries - land now owned by nobility
- Papal supremacy not absolute - Mary still held greater power (e.g. when she refused to return Pole to Pope)
