They have this attitude because jesus taught that divorce is wrong & christains should follow the teaching sof jesus

-They beleive that there are certain situations where christains must choose the lesser of two evils if the marriage has really broken down than th effects of the couple not divorcing would be greater evil than evil of divorce itself.
