How the purpose of a catholic marriage are show in the wedding ceremony
1) sacrament. Purpose of this is to show publicly the love the couple have for each other this is shown in the opening prayer of the ceremony.
2) permanent for life. This is shown in the vows when the couple says until death do us part.
3) exclusive. This is shown when the priest asks the couple if they have come freely and without reservation to their relationship.
4) live-giving. This is shown when the priest asks he couple if they will accept children from God lovingly.
