Living together in a sexual relationship but without marriage.
Pros and cons of cohabitation?
Pros:
- enables couples to get to know each other
- children can be brought up successfully
- if it doesn’t work there is no legal complications
Cons:
- encourage a casual attitude towards relationships
- children are best brought up in a marriage

How does Christianity view sexual relationships?
It is wrong to sleep with other people other than your partner .
Sex should only happen in marriage
What is the purpose of the family ?
For procreation , to have children (gifts from God). They should provide food shelter warmth etc. It is how children should be brought up to learn how to live and form relationships.

Pill, coil, condoms, or the natural method of waiting when the woman is least likely to conceive.
What do the Catholic Church and Protestant think of contraception?
Artificial methods should not be used as it is a sinful act. Most Christians believe the rhythm method is the best. However others may believe that people should never deny pregnancy.

Why was divorce not acceptable in the past?
Catholics thought you were breaking your vows and therefore it wasn’t allowed. However it was only allowed if under age or under threat.

They believe God forgives mistakes made by humans therefore divorce is accepted. He understands relationships break down.
