Maximum elevation figure, it is known as the highest known feature in each quadrantal
Is the MEF a safety altitude?
No! It is the highest known feature in each quadrangle. (Add 1000ft to the MEF, rough guide)
What colour would an AIC referring to map changes be?
Green.
What are the dimensions of an ATZ?
Ground level to 2000ft aal and within an area bounded by a circle radius:
2nm where longest runway is 1850m or lessor
2.5nm where the longest runway greater than 1850m
What are the dimensions of a MATZ?
Sfc-3000ft aal within radius 5nm. Usually a stub (s) width 4nm extending out a further 5nm along final approach paths for main instrument runway(s) between 1000-3000ft aal
