Fast expulsion or air (most basic) out of the front of your mouth mostly uninterrupted.

Movements - vibration or an articulator (tongue mostly). French sometimes flippantly roll their r’s.

Like plosive but air is more interrupted.

A
Tongue diverts air through nose eg. Bon

A
2 articulators close but no friction. Semi consonants in French

Lateral
A
Pushes air to the side eg. L sound - tongue to top of mouth stops air coming out of the front of our moth and makes it move around the side
