Manitowoc Lattice Boom Load Chart Notes Flashcards
When using the boom point elevation numbers round to whole number
.5 or greater round up and .4 or lower round down
Tip to ground distance if found where
the load chart
tip to ground distance if found in the column
Boom point elevation
Round to nearest whole number
.5 or greater round up and .4 or below round down
Calculate the gross load
object weight + deductions
Chart capacity is lower if?
crawlers are retracted, cannot lift of the jib with crawlers retracted
if there is no capacity listed in the jib chart for retracted crawlers
no capacity listed for a particular configuration that means the crane has no capacity
when picking off the jib
jib does not have to be deducted
when using jib point elevation numbers
.5 or greater round up and .4 or lower round down
radius is not given
use boom angle to find chart capacity
How to find Main Line
Main boom chart and radius columns, follow for boom tip elevation, then gross capacity, make sure if crawlers are retracted or extended, Finally write boom tip elevation in Main Line deduction area
working off the Jib
go to jib chart, follow to right for jib point elevation and gross capacity, make sure of the jib offset, jib point elevation in the Aux Line deduction area
Radius is not given in the chart values, use boom angle
go with the longer radius
should you look at capacities above and below and use the smaller one
yes
