Grove TLL Load Chart Notes Flashcards
Find Gross load 360 degrees
object being lifted and deductions are added together for total
when the radius is unknown
Boom angle is used to determine Gross Capacity
If boom angle doesn’t correspond to an angle in the chart
go to next lowest boom angle in the chart and use that capacity
Is it a good idea to check the capacity for the boom angle below and boom angle above and always use the lowest capacity
yes
If the line pull is less than chart capacity
use the line pull value as gross capacity and make deductions from there
If line capacity is gross capacity
no deduction of parts of line
How many parts of line should you deduct
only what is not needed
If given boom angle does not correspond to an angle in the chart
go to next lowest boom angle
Line pull is less than chart capacity
so line pull must be used as gross capacity
where gross capacity is determined by line capacity
there will not be an extra line deduction
Auxiliary boom head is only rated for
single line lifts
If boom angle is not listed in the chart
look at boom angle greater and lower than boom angle given, used smallest chart capacity
If radius is not listed specifically in the chart on the range diagram
use next highest radius
If corresponding tip height is between two numbers
use the highest number
When picking off the extension
do not deduct the weight of the extension when it is being used in the pick
